Hi - thank you for taking the time to review your employment with Simpson Millar.
We're pleased to hear that you thought your line manager and colleagues were supportive and worked well together - ensuring the right balance for your day-to-day work is important to us.
However we're equally disappointed that you didn't feel that the leadership was as good as it can be. We're about to restart our roadshow townhall meetings, so our leadership team can hear directly from all our employees and then directly make changes where possible to positively reflect improvement across the firm.
We appreciate that our leadership team (as do every leadership team) need to make decisions about the overall direction and not everyone agrees with every decision but hopefully our regular communications and updates at least allows our teams to understand why decisions are taken and what the focus is.
Thank you again for taking the time to write a review and we wish you well in your future career.
Friendly, supportive team with a great culture
Approachable management and team leaders
Good opportunities for career progression
Senior management have recently been making an effort to listen to employees and make improvements, but progress is extremely slow
Cons
Salaries are very low for the market, and salary increases are tiny
They struggle with retention so there is a high turnover of colleagues
Terrible IT
