Pros
Good for the desperate or uninformed. But only as a stopgap.
Cons
Low pay, disorganised, and “encouraged” overtime. Skuuudle even went into administration in the 2010s (more on that later). 1 - LOW PAY: Minimum wage for the front-line staff, slight bump for managers / highly skilled professionals. But to save money, work is outsourced to cheap labour forces, e.g. India and Bulgaria. So little to no job security. 2 - DISORGANISED: Communication is lacking. Last minute tasks and tight deadlines exacerbate already overworked staff. 3 - “ENCOURAGED” OVERTIME: Demanding clients coupled with bottleneck communication means pressure on staff. Expect to work weekends and outside normal core hours. 4 - NO BONUSES. 5 - ZERO PERKS: No incentives are in place to encourage staff to grow, like learning budgets or courses. 6 - TOXIC CULTURE: Indoctrinated staff echo toxic top-level culture like “work is life” or “first in, last out”. Possibly out of fear of reprisal from management. 7 - ADMINISTRATION: Back in 2013, Skuuudle went into administration. Overstaffed and lack of funding forced the company to close. Fast-forward to today, Skuuudle is cutting staff / outsourcing to cheap labour and losing funding, echoing past events.
