Pros

I felt like there was opportunity for upward mobility I learned new skill sets Coworkers on my team shared the same passion

Cons

When your manager stinks and doesn’t manage, nothing is done about it Lots of things felt secretive and had a lack of transparency There were a lot of layoffs and they would often come out of nowhere Their goals constantly changed and the amount of pivoting was a little ridiculous The interview process is tedious

Pros

-Full Remote (good work balance) -High-end work PC -Flexible work hours across all US time zones

Cons

-Constant hiring of temp contract employees even those with decades of experience in their respected fields and FGC genre. -Heavily relying on "pro" FGC members for game meta and feedback -Very poor communication and milestone tasking -Lots of micro-management -ZERO benefits for temp/contactor employees. Not even earned PTO. -They'll let you know when your last day is during your final week. You basically figured it out on your own that they are not extending you nor promoting you to FT status w/ benefits. -Extremely LOW PAY even for temps/contractors with decades of experience. The pay will be based on a 12-month yearly salary/contract, but you're only hired for 6-9 months, so you won't receive the full sum of the offered contract salary. So, even decade+ experienced devs on contract status are getting paid like associates/juniors. -So many seasoned/experienced senior-level devs gone b/c of temp/contract status/hiring.
