Pros

I've been working as an Account Manager at SmartBite for the past year, and it's been an incredible journey, thanks to our new General Manager, Donatello. Donatello's leadership is exceptional. Yes, he's tough, but that toughness inspires us to do better. He sets high expectations, and we willingly put in long hours (often 15-hour days starting at 8 am) to meet them. His commitment is motivating and drives us to exceed our own limits. Under Donatello, SmartBite Philippines has become profitable, a testament to his excellent management skills. His straightforward approach helps us understand our roles better and encourages open communication. There's a sense of camaraderie here that makes those long hours worthwhile.

Cons

However, the long working hours can be taxing. While we understand the need for commitment, striking a better work-life balance should be considered.

Pros

SmartBite offers an excellent environment for those who want to grow quickly and gain hands-on experience. The company moves at a dynamic, startup pace, which creates opportunities to learn across multiple areas and take real ownership of projects. Career progression is relatively fast, and those who show initiative are often given the chance to lead and make meaningful contributions.

Cons

The fast-paced environment can sometimes become challenging, especially during high-pressure periods. At times, the workload and expectations may feel overwhelming, as responsibilities across operations, client management, and vendor coordination can fall on a limited number of people.
