Pros

(Ewing, NJ) Lots of career growth opportunities / great learning experience, sometimes they cater lunch and/or do lunch&learns, pay is decent for a CRO. Coworkers are amazing and literally will drop anything to help any other scientist or support staff whenever possible, smaller team/easier to know everyone.

Cons

(Ewing, NJ) Management, upper management specifically. Stop micromanaging. This site seems to be intentionally burning out their staff while continually taking on projects that they dont have the work force to complete. The culture is sickly, every day you walk in to find out what new fresh hell there is, new rule? urgent timeline with 0 prior notice? maybe frequent impromptu meetings where you have to explain over and over (again) that you have, in fact, ran an assay before. The training program is basically nonexistent, they just strap you to a bogged down scientist and wait until you ask enough questions to know the job. HR is also very unprofessional. Absolutely no training program, they pretty much hook you up to a completely bogged down scientist and they pretty much just walk you through what they do.

Pros

There were a few nice coworkers that genuinely wanted to make things better, but that can’t outweigh the cons.

Cons

Benefits are lacking, especially not a competitive PTO policy. Overall the culture is very much as though everyone is on pins and needles just looking out for their own self-interest, so there’s very little genuine team support. It’s a privately owned company and management makes no pretense about their utter lack of transparency. One minute they’re talking about how strong the pipeline is and the next they’re laying off >10% of the division. Not to mention that they’re not up front in the hiring process about requirements to be on-call after hours.
