      Pros

      Still the best of the best work here Great offices and location, especially in LA, SF, Seattle, or NYC A product people love to use that genuinely brings joy into lives

      Cons

      Recent layoffs sting and people are still upset, as you can see on glassdoor External competition narrative in the press gets really old and annoying Lot of junior engineers who feel "trapped" at Snap, especially in LA, is a downer

      Relatively good opportunities for those who just starting their career and want to try big tech (kinda big)

      Cons

      The code is outdated. Building the app won't give you experience that you can fully use outside of the Snapchat. So much homemade tools and solution that doesn't provide best experience and doesn't simplify your life. Often perf reviews are a burden.
