Pros

Can take vacation immediately on earning it, kind of. It accrues on monthly basis, not per pay period, which is stupid.

Cons

To make it past 1 year probation, don’t use sick leave or vacation. Convince them you are a pushover. Suppress your needs and forget about work life balance. Work continuously and play their games and be a world class actor.

Employees and Managers are very supportive and are open to suggestions. This helped me to learn many things throughout the experience

Pros

Competitive pay, government job, elected officals are personable.

Cons

Mismanaged, unaware of departmental capabilities, confrontation is passive aggressive. Racial descrimination. 11 years spent on the same project wasting tax payer resources.
