Reorganizations happen frequently and with little warning, making it difficult to build sustained momentum on any strategic initiative before priorities shift again. Roles are frequently understaffed relative to actual scope — it's common to be covering work that used to be split across multiple people, with no adjustment in headcount or support. When layoffs happen, the stated rationale often doesn't hold up to scrutiny: roles described as "no longer aligned with strategy" are sometimes eliminated even when the person was actively doing the exact work the company claims to be prioritizing. Communication during restructuring is procedural and impersonal — decisions are delivered by email with little room for real dialogue, even for people with strong performance records. Leadership talks about clarity and speed, but the organization has become harder to navigate, not easier.
