Cons
I've worked for many companies in the past and SoFi is by far the worst. If anyone is considering joining or applying to SoFi, please let me do you a favor and tell you STAY AWAY. There's been a lot of news about sexual harassment, frat based culture, yelling/screaming, long hours in the media. Some other areas: - A lot of yelling across leadership. When a leader doesn't like something, they yell at you. When they don't like you, they yell at you and then ignore you and make political moves to isolate you until you leave / they find a reason to let you go. They've done this to at least a 5 respectful, earnest, willing to do good people. All the while, there is 0 performance management - no feedback, no positive reinforcements, no constructive feedback, promotion/raise process. - The frat culture from Finance extends to a "boys club" in the engineering department in Montana - The women in leadership positions either have to fight the fight or somehow developed a selfish/disrespectful backbone. They don't mentor other women or cultivate a culture of collaboration, sharing, growth or being respectful or professional. Other women and myself were demoralized when I tried to go to women in leadership, but they either didn't care or seemed very inapproachable. - There is NO transparency into the product roadmap or product development cycle. It was the Mike and June (Mike's wife). High promises/talk and squat results. They ship maybe 10% of ideas, concepts, developed projects. Their roadmap or product development cycle is not transparent, cohesive and organized. - Leaders actions, personalities and behaviors breed the same culture across the departments. People that are successful are ruthless.
