Pros
The work is extremely predictable and repetitive as Social Kapture only serves one industry, the multifamily industry. Some people really love this as you work on the same stuff every day (literally just content for apartments). There's a general attempt at friendliness. The office is nice and in a newly built corporate office building that's pretty easy to get to if commuting is an issue. Could be a chance for younger people to grow their resume while they work towards a career. There is good work/life balance because the work is not too challenging and almost everyone is able to clock off after an 8 hour shift.
Cons
The CEO is also the founder, which makes the business a very personal business. Many of her friends have been hired for key roles (sales, marketing, accounting) and asking for a raise feels like you're asking a friend for their life savings. It's just not a healthy culture. Many of those in leadership are not very experienced and somewhat immature. I see one comment about "toxic people leaving" from a five star review, but I know three people left (including myself) because we got amazing offers at bigger companies. There isn't a concrete system of raises or bonuses at Social Kapture so it's not too hard to get a better offer elsewhere since you may go two years without even a little bump. Lastly, there isn't much room for growth. It's a niche agency, so it's not like there are tons of different departments doing very different kinds of work. It's basically the same job from day one and your promotion will pretty much be a title bump without much of a salary raise (if any). -No remote work (CEO is very anti-remote) -No raise/bonus structure -No 401(k) -No creativity in work -Leadership is inexperienced
