Pros

Best for people who have no experience to get their foot in the door and learn the basics of what it means to work in the field, promotions are always from within

Cons

Since higher positions are generally promoted from within, it's hard to get in at a level higher than DC Tech 1. They also no longer hire full time employees right away, and switched to a contract-to-hire model. They also are bad at hiring experienced technicians and turn-over rate is insanely high. You won't learn advanced troubleshooting skills or many skills that transfer over - most of the job is troubleshooting private automation that does everything for you.

Pros

- Good entry into the tech industry

Cons

- Micromanagement taken to the extreme. - DCOPS regional leader, director, and executives are clueless on how to run a successful operation. - Haven't received a raise greater then 20-cents during my time there. - Bonuses are around $100-$200/year, not even 1% of your yearly salary. (Average bonus around here being 5-10%). - High-turn over due to low pay. The one thing i have learned, upper management does not care about you; ultimately you are just a number. They may preach culture, they may schedule meetings about career growth and company culture, however, they have done nothing to backup their words. They simply do not care. Again, treat this job as a stepping stone into the tech industry. Despite what upper management might tell you about opportunities opening up and promotions coming, do not waste you life away here hoping for a promotion, raise, or career advancement because it will never come.
