Pros

50+ products that actually work. People know exactly who SW is as a market leader. While they do not typically innovate or champion the leading edge of IT Monitoring software, they have deep enough pockets to acquire companies that do to bring them into the SW fold. They have really smart sales engineers that know exactly how to use the products to the best of their design and then some.

Cons

Old school leadership mentality of brute force sales tactics. Very little strategy and poor hiring practices. Place is being run by the sales people and HR/Legal/Leadership are terrified to replace terrible people with better people. This in part is because really good people are not looking to join the SW team. They can fire because they dont have people to replace reps. Sales roles are under paid relative to other similar companies in the space. The training is poorly run and focuses on "discounting" as the primary sales tactic to close deals. Its no wonder reps focus on the sales discounting as a closing tactic as opposed to meeting the customer NEEDS first and then discussing the value the products bring to the customers IT Monitoring needs.

Pros

Amazing office space in Charlotte with a strong emphasis on work-life balance. There are plenty of social events and networking opportunities that help employees stay engaged and build relationships across different business units. The recent IT reorganization has created a unique opportunity to participate in system and process design initiatives. While this level of change and transformation may not appeal to everyone, it offers valuable experience for those who enjoy shaping new processes and driving organizational improvements. I am optimistic about the direction of the organization and confident in the vision and leadership of the new IT management team.

Cons

Career advancement opportunities can sometimes feel limited within a satellite office environment, and promotion paths are not always clearly defined. Employees seeking long-term growth may benefit from having proactive career development conversations with leadership. The recent IT reorganization has introduced a period of transition, resulting in some uncertainty and lower morale across parts of the organization. The department is currently in a rebuilding phase, and new employees should expect to contribute to the implementation of new processes, systems, and ways of working. Compensation appears to be somewhat below market rates for certain roles, which may be a consideration for candidates prioritizing salary growth.
