Pros
Creative ownership. As a creative lead, I'm trusted to drive direction rather than just execute briefs. There's genuine respect for craft and a willingness to back bold ideas.
Talented, collaborative team. The people are the real draw — sharp, generous with feedback, and easy to build with. Cross-functional collaboration with [product/marketing/etc.] is mostly smooth.
Interesting work. The projects are varied enough to stay challenging, and there's enough creative latitude to do work I'm actually proud to put in a portfolio.
Reasonable work-life balance. Outside of crunch periods, hours are sane and flexibility is respected.
Cons
Processes still maturing. As the company scales, workflows and approval chains can get murky. Decision-making sometimes slows things down, and priorities can shift mid-project.
Resourcing gaps. Ambitious goals occasionally outpace the headcount and tooling available, which puts pressure on the creative team to do more with less.
Career-pathing could be clearer. Growth opportunities exist but aren't always well-defined; more structure around progression and feedback would help.
