Pros
Opportunity to do things beyond your pay grade so you can interview elsewhere and get paid what you're worth.
Cons
Solera had a special formula for burnout while I was there. They expected people in lower level positions to innovate and 'brag' about their accomplishments, but doing do would create a new baseline for the hourly employee. In other words, you must constantly innovate below your pay grade and maintain the new expectations you've caused others to expect. Of course, this is not sustainable and burnout is inevitable because, after all, you'll reach a point where you'll reach the limit of the ever-increasing expectations. At least, that's my interpretation of how I saw were things were going. After so many layoffs, it seemed the solution was to simply expect the remaining employees to pick up the slack.
