Pros

Great people as colleagues. Great beginner experience.

Cons

Terrible micromanagement from top to bottom. If you succeed outside of their plan, you are borderline outcasted. Not a place to spend over 2 years at. The compensation structure is an absolute JOKE. 40k and 2 percent commission till you hit 100K. Then 45K and 5 percent commission. The last tier is set up for people of tenure year of over 2 plus years. With their high level of turnover, majority of the people don't last that long. It is structured to have new people bringing money and when they quit give it to the veterans to keep them there. When the office was in full swing, they would use tactics to keep you in your cube in certain times. They would put chairs at the beginning of each row with a sign on informing you that you should be in your cube. It is literally passive aggressive baby gates to their employees. In my tenure, anyone who had a conversation with management regarding the systemic issues with Soliants pay structure. They would either be let go for a "unrelated" cause or the work environment would turn people to quit.

Pros

- The pay is not bad for the most part. You get paid weekly instead of biweekly or monthly. - Good way to start your CFY if you want to dip your toes into a school setting. - I got a placement very quickly (Only a few days). - Decent benefits (401k, medical, dental, vision). - Great support from my supervisor. - Great work/life balance.

Cons

- No pay during the holidays (summer/winter break) - Some miscommunication between the school and the agency. For example, on my first day at work, I was assigned to start at the beginning of the year. When I went to the front office, nobody knew I was the new SLP. The staff and I had to scramble on what to do with me. It was quite confusing and overwhelming. - The school district does not give you full access to their system (e.g., Areies, SEIS) due to not being a direct hire.

Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback! We’re glad to hear you felt supported by your supervisor, appreciated the work/life balance, and found the placement process quick and efficient. We also appreciate your honest comments regarding communication and system access challenges. We understand how frustrating that first-day experience must have been, and we’re continuously working with our school partners to improve onboarding and coordination processes.
