Pros

Good start to a career, would only recommend for a short period.

Cons

Working at Soliant you will be micromanaged by managers constantly. The environment feels more like you are at school then in an actual workplace. They pride themselves on not having a log in system, but you will have meetings at 8:00a.m. every day to take attendance. Very stressful environment because they make it feel as if you are going to be replaced if you don't meet certain standards. Extremely high turnover rate. You cannot flex your hours if you don't have a contract every week. Honestly Good luck

Pros

- The pay is not bad for the most part. You get paid weekly instead of biweekly or monthly. - Good way to start your CFY if you want to dip your toes into a school setting. - I got a placement very quickly (Only a few days). - Decent benefits (401k, medical, dental, vision). - Great support from my supervisor. - Great work/life balance.

Cons

- No pay during the holidays (summer/winter break) - Some miscommunication between the school and the agency. For example, on my first day at work, I was assigned to start at the beginning of the year. When I went to the front office, nobody knew I was the new SLP. The staff and I had to scramble on what to do with me. It was quite confusing and overwhelming. - The school district does not give you full access to their system (e.g., Areies, SEIS) due to not being a direct hire.

Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback! We’re glad to hear you felt supported by your supervisor, appreciated the work/life balance, and found the placement process quick and efficient. We also appreciate your honest comments regarding communication and system access challenges. We understand how frustrating that first-day experience must have been, and we’re continuously working with our school partners to improve onboarding and coordination processes.
