Pros

Once you get a job here, you could potentially stay here for the rest of your life, regardless of how well you perform. It is basically like working for the government or a monopoly. So if you want a cush job, this could be it. The benefits are probably above market.

Cons

Where do I start? The beaucracy is stifling. You will run into colleagues on a daily basis who are just there to punch a clock. Most employees are mediocre and unmotivated. There is a ton of dead weight. Literally there are people who sit around and surf the net and goof off all day. This could explain our high electricity bills. The jobs are boring. The industry is boring. All of this is because it is a monopoly and a quasi-governmental entity. If you want excitement in your job, avoid this place. It will suck the life out of you. Once you work here for a few yrs, you could be stuck here and be pigeonholed. The pay is below market. And Rosemead is not the best play to work.

Pros

SCE offers strong perks, benefits, and opportunities, especially within Field Engineering. There are plenty of chances to learn, grow, and be creative in the role. Leadership and management have generally been supportive, and the pay is solid for the expectations of the position.

Cons

Compensation is good if you perform the core job well, but it may not fully reflect the value of employees who go above and beyond, bring additional technical skills, or create broader impact beyond the standard role expectations.

Pros

Great company to work for in terms of mission, workplace, people, and pay & benefits. Lots of opportunities to grow & learn new things in different areas because of the size of the company.

Cons

Sometimes slow momentum of an enterprise company, but things are getting better.
