Pros
Autonomous work that you can be proud of. Freedom to do things your own way. Tons of very nice people at the operations/lower management level. Highly competent and collaborative groups at operations level. Everybody has a "get it done" attitude, even if trying new things. Great members to engage with. You'll make great friends. Work itself is fulfilling. Company president seems kind and gets along well with employees.
Cons
Corporate management has struggled with a bloated upper tier that relies heavily on their own emotional responses. Some of them are wonderful to work with, but some seem obsessed with patting themselves on the back without understanding the basics of their job function/processes at lower levels/operations of their teams or how they affect employees from other teams. Have heard many instances of corporate managers being unprofessional, including retaliating against employees who disagree with them.
More capability = more work responsibility with no additional compensation or acknowledgment (instead constantly given messaging to be humble). If you aren't very competent you'll get paid very well for what you do. If you go above and beyond you will end up doing jobs worth twice as much as you're paid. New hires get the highest salaries, but once you're in, there will be no pay changes in line with your added responsibilities. Company will primarily hire new people before promoting from within.
Tons of diversity at the bottom, but none at the top levels. Employees are understandably worried about talking to HR.
