Rewarding, meaningful–and fun - Marketing/Communications Spafinder Wellness Employee Review

I was fortunate to work with a wonderful group of people who respected each other but also really liked each other, which made for a great environment. The senior management team was bright, driven and set a tone for collaboration throughout the company. Employees supported each other and many friendships resulted in the time together. Spafinder has been around for a long time so there are legacy issues to evolve which is really positive and interesting for those that like challenges and building new things. Working for a leader in the wellness industry at a time of such growth was very exciting and rewarding.

The company moved to Miami and I had to stay in NYC for personal reasons.

There weren't any pros. Well, I liked being close to Union Square.

You know when you interview and you're like- ooh, what a cool, zen place! Then you start working there and you're like- oh, no, that was a total bait and switch. Yeah, it's that. It felt like a total bait and switch. No one was friendly, the owners were super cheap, the pay sucked, and it was just a really weird vibe. I fantasized about making a Costanza shelf under my desk, not to nap, but to hide. Disclaimer- I actually worked there a lot longer ago than 2021 but this site doesn't give the option to choose before 2021 and I had to write a review to look anything up.
