Cons
Depending on which team you land on, your individual experience may vary. Job satisfaction is primarily dictated by your direct supervisor afterall. There are plenty of rotten managers at Charter, and if you find yourself reporting to one, try to transfer to one of the good ones... of which there are many. Charter culture is strange; mid-level managers are dis-empowered to make big decisions, which are dictated by whomever is the highest ranking stakeholder. Charter lives and dies by Powerpoint decks, so if you don't like Powerpoint... do not apply. Management expects the underlings to deliver most messages via decks. Charter does not treat their contractors very well overall. They are, by design, treated like a lower caste. I've heard the explanation for this and disagree; all workers, whether employee or contractor, should be treated fairly and equally.
