Pros

Pay and benefits - that’s the only thing that has kept me here, up until now

Cons

Up until now, my experience working at corporate had been pretty neutral - pay is great, benefits good, but company culture is very conservative and outdated. Office politics are in full force. Employees' strengths are not used to their full potential and real teamwork is basically nonexistent. However, I have lost any respect I had for Charter after their handling of the Coronavirus. It took them weeks of employee complaints and negative press to make any significant changes, and in my opinion, they still aren't doing enough. Even though my team is capable of doing 100% of our work from home, it seems they refuse to believe we will be productive. Their most recent attempt at "social distancing" is having half the office work from home in two week shifts. They have given us three weeks of extra PTO for any Covid-related reason, but they are requiring us use this time if we want to work from home for the weeks we are supposed to be in the office. Funny how they allow us to work from home while sick or using PTO, but not to feel safe during a pandemic... Also, hourly employees will be paid out for any of this Covid PTO they don’t use by the end of the year, potentially incentivizing then to come to work while sick. When employees are sick, they wait for a positive test result and only then send a few people around them home. It seems the executives do not care about the health and wellbeing of their employees, families or the public who they are putting at risk. They are taking full advantage of being an "essential" business. Good luck maintaining productivity when half your workforce gets sick, dies, or leaves the company for a company with some human decency (as I plan to do)!

Pros

Great company to work for. Overall they treat everyone with respect and there is a good work/life balance and everyone seems proud to work there. A ton of people have been working there for 20+ years.

Cons

None really, we were treated decently.
