Pros

Speechmatics is a great company to work for who really do put their people first. This is something that really stood out to me throughout the hiring process and has continued within my employment too. When I joined the company, everyone was incredibly welcoming, in my own team and beyond which helped me to settle in very quickly. Monthly socials within the office have played a big part in this too giving everyone the chance to meet those in other teams. My manager has made a real effort to ensure that I know what is expected of me within my role and I feel fully supported as well as feeling trusted and having autonomy. The company seem keen to listen to feedback from their employees with regular surveys and two way reviews so that they can improve the experience for all as well as wanting to help people grow within their roles. I have a great work / life balance which is exactly what I was looking for when I joined the company and they completely understand that I have a family and other commitments outside of work. They also offer great benefits which far exceed what I have received in other roles too which is a huge plus!

Cons

The team are spread over two offices so everyone isn't in the same place at the same time, however this is outweighed by the benefit of hybrid working. They also host regular social events to ensure that people do have the opportunity to get together.

Sometimes, being we have employees around the globe, there are tough barriers for communicating in a timely manner... but, this is with most international b2b organizations.

Pros

It's great to get sell a world class product that WOWs people in every demo. The team is supportive of one another, NO POLITICS and fun. Unfortunately I'm remote so I only get to have fun vicariously as I see invites for all I'm missing. We actually listen to customers and work with them for success. It's a great place to learn knowing you'll be supported even if you make a mistake.

Cons

Like many companies our size, we are busy putting scalable processes in place to make us more efficient. Being remote, sometimes it's hard to stay up on what's happening in the office. These process improvements are doing a lot to make this better.
