The management has the ability to manipulate how long it took you to complete a task, or even cut time from a job if you forget to punch out. This raises a serious question: is the productivity system really reliable? We received a bonus on this one month despite not hitting the productivity target, so how can we be sure that they’re not denying us bonuses in other months by manipulating our time in the system? Productivity is just a tactic the company uses to push you beyond your limits, forcing you to work faster in hopes of earning a bonus at the end of the month. In reality, you’re burning yourself out while the company reaps all the rewards. If someone takes longer to finish a big engine job that month, it drags down the shop's overall productivity, and as a result, no one gets their bonus. But don’t worry—just break your back trying again next month! :D
