Pros
I wanted to give myself a little time before writing this review and I'm glad that I did. The hard work really did pay off and this company's team and mission are off the charts in a good way. I applied and was brought on as an intern just to get some on the ground experience so that I could hopefully get a job somewhere else. Well, I'm so glad that I didn't have an opportunity to leave because after a few months of some pretty intense projects, I was asked to stay on as an employee. This is a fast paced, but very supportive work environment. If you want to learn, you will. The work schedule can be flexible and most of us telecommute because of the remote infrastructure in place, which is top notch and easy to keep in touch. I get some of my work done in the morning, then I'm able to take off for a few hours in the middle of the day, then I get back to work later in the day. Work life balance is possible here, but as the CEO says, "you've got to have some hustle to get it all done." He's so right, and I don't think you'll find a CEO who is shoulder-to-shoulder with his team doing the very same things we all are.
Cons
If you're looking to coast then this isn't the job for you. The work life balance doesn't mean it's easy as the pace can be pretty quick at times, but I do have to reiterate that no one is alone. This is a team effort. We're all working hard and no one feels undervalued. I know this isn't a real con, but folks should know that everyone is hustling here and if you feel intimidated by that, then it may not be the place for you.
