Pros
Good office location near Bank Station
Cons
Workload: Working at this company has been disheartening as there is an extremely uneven distribution of workload. Some staff are consistently overwhelmed—often working into the evenings and over weekends—while others have virtually nothing to do. It’s the worst workload imbalance I’ve encountered in my career, and unfortunately, neither management nor HR seem willing or able to address it. Line management: Line managers do not manage workload effectively—some don’t even pull their own weight, let alone ensure fair distribution across their teams. This lack of accountability at the leadership level sets a poor example and contributes directly to the growing frustration among hard-working employees. RTO: The mandatory return-to-office policy (three days a week) only adds to the frustration, especially when you turn up to find colleagues spending the day on their phones, doing very little, and leaving early. It feels like a waste of time and a complete disregard for those who are genuinely overburdened. Questionable Use of Budget by Leadership: There’s also a troubling trend of very senior managers using the travel budget for trips to locations they personally favour, rather than sending the most appropriate team members to carry out the work. Lack of Management Training and Professionalism: There is a culture of disrespect from certain work colleagues. issues like gossiping, disrespect, or bullying behaviour—whether in private or on group calls—is alarmingly commonplace. It creates a toxic environment where people don’t feel safe or valued.
