You are expected to "work" outside of work hours as well otherwise you could be told that "maybe this isn't what you should be doing" (when referring to your job), claiming that you are not passionate enough. There's also a high chance of participating in in-work "exams" by the CTO as if you are in school and STILL fail, despite answering correctly, using that as an excuse to fire you. - Base salary for software engineering for a company that claims to compensate you enough to have a comfortable life.
