Pros

-Mostly laid back environment if you're not in the foundry on the shop floor. -Catered lunches/breakfasts fairly often. -Relatively flexible with scheduling.

Cons

Honestly, there are a ton of things I could say about this company. -Overall, the company culture here is extremely poor. Primarily in upper management, which isn't all that unusual, but it's like a clique of people who don't actually like with each other. -ABSOLUTELY NO TRAINING PROGRAM IN PLACE. Insanely dangerous in this line of work to have an extreme lack of training. Quite literally throwing new employees to the wolves with a pat on the back. -Constant shoving responsibilities off on other people, constantly upping other employee's workload because people are leaving left and right. -Raises are wildly few and far between, and you have to practically beg for one. -Entirely takes advantage of good employees because they're too kind to say no, and will berate them for being behind while doing about 5 people's jobs. -Will promise the world and beyond when interviewing then consistently push those promises to the back burner, never to be seen again. -Some management will stick up for employees that don't do their jobs to the expected level, but will entirely take advantage of and be cruel to those who are working above and beyond. -The people who have been around for many years seem to only still be here because they enjoy their actual jobs, because in all fairness it really is extremely interesting and engaging work. If the petty office politics went away I'm sure it would be a great place. -In an absolutely terrible part of Milwaukee. It's a fine place for someone who wants some sort of industry experience, but I wouldn't recommend sticking around for a long time.

Pros

I've worked at Stainless Foundry & Engineering for 5 weeks now and it has been a busy 5 weeks, but they also understand work life balance. Working here is like working with family, they are all very involved and caring. In the business aspect, SF&E is very competitive with their sand and investment casting and sincerely cares about the new and existing customers. Once a week management has a meeting with each department to increase productivity and to here from the horses mouth itself about the work environment. Great place!

Cons

Headquarters located in a bad part of town
