Pros
The pros are that it is centrally located and easy to transport to. Facilities are nice and up to date.
Cons
I worked in the Information Systems department and experienced the worst management of my entire career. From favoritism to bigotry, I was in constant shock at the lines managers crossed. When such issues with management were addressed to HR, the HR team was quick to cover management teams tracks and defend their actions and motivations. I wish I would have known this before accepting a position with SH. I have since moved on but wish I never had the experience with them. It is surprising to me to hear from current employees and ex employees that this behavior from management is consistent across groups at the hospital. Disturbing.
