Pros
Stability. They will run you into the ground if you let them. Overtime is constant...as it saves them money (less employees, less benefits paid).
Cons
Entire custody division is run by a queen bee and her clones. You can have poor attendance, a lousy work performance, and a host of personal problems....but if your "one of hers" you wont be stuck on line staff for 20 years. Grueling overtime..sometimes exceeding 50 hrs in an 8 hour shift.
Pay/Benefits are below average. Other post is correct. No wage increases in over 10 years. Management lowers standards to maintain a politically correct balance that doesn't even remotely depict population stats. Union is worthless and under the queens tight grip. Intimidation and backbiting runs rampant.
