Pros
This is a great way to have a side hustle to earn extra money. Cool events and concerts that I get to witness and (relatively) no cost.
Cons
Full time management needs to communicate effectively with each other and with part time staff and provide all/as many details as possible to avoid confusion. At times, smile makers would be blamed for issues that could have been avoided with timely, clear communication and understanding. Very micromanaged environment; Too many workshops/trainings outside of regular events and these take a lot of time to drive to and attend, especially when these are schedule at/around 5pm. Atlanta can be congested and these aren't always the best use of our time. While it is convenient for those that have day jobs, it is also the most inconvenient. Schedule changes for the arena can sometimes make things hard to plan (i.e. travel, normal fun beyond work, etc). Doesn't happen too often but when it does, it has created issues and stress for me. Management talks down to part time employees, we are adults; Lots of standing for very long hours can be hard on the body regardless of age, and since we are told not to leave our post unless absolutely necessary, walking may not be much of an option (unless you are going to or coming back from break, which are also relatively short).
