Pros

If you're part of the family's inner circle, you are given special treatment, benefits and perks.

Cons

Poorly managed company, if you aren't one of the "favorites" then you are treated like you don't matter. When approaching the family with suggestions or ideas, blatantly ignored and often talked about behind your back. Completely disrespectful to employees, contractors, and customers. Extremely high turnover rate due to upper management issues.

Pros

Only thing I can think of as a pro is that they offer their employees free coffee, water, and snacks.

Cons

1. They set your office hours and then require you to be available 24/7, even when you are on pre-approved paid vacation. They do not value their employees. 2. High turnover of office staff 3. Imploding from within 4. Make sure to read the Employee Handbook, You will not be paid for any earned PTO, even if you have several weeks accrued when you leave. 5. Expectations are different for each office. 6. Management is unreliable and passes the buck. You can't trust them. 7. There aren't any checks and balances. You are required to be 100% perfect all the time. The buck stops at you in estimating. Forget the fact that in most companies the installers and project managers will look at the work orders, blueprints, or notes and if they have a question, they pick up the phone and call. This does not happen here. Installers are rarely held accountable for their mistakes and it will fall on estimating for not being perfect.
