Pros

- Honestly? None left. Breakfast club used to be the best perk, until they cut it to save money on croissants. - You’ll become very resilient. Trauma does that.

Cons

- ALL THE "GOOD" REVIEWS ON THIS PAGE WERE SOLICITED BY HR AND WERE EITHER PROOFREAD OR REWRITTEN PRIOR TO BEING POSTED. - fear driven environment - senior management have no integrity - asking questions? You’ll be shushed like a child. - You're given a narrow time period window throughout the day to ask them, then reprimanded for any misunderstandings or delayed responses. - If you do something good, it's their win. God help you if something doesn't go to plan, it's your fault and you will pay the price. - recent financial burden led to half the company being made redundant. -We are now a skeleton crew, managing the same amount of work and relying on offshore help in order to get the job done. - expect to be shuffled between studios to clean up disorganised projects. - there’s no department structure in NY, and a culture of blameshifting ensures accountability is always someone else’s problem, I suffered this as a freelancer before becoming full time - nothing is ever good enough for the company. - embarrassingly poor leadership on all levels - speaking up is treated as a nuisance rather than a necessity. - refer to employees as 'resource', no empathy - outdated/old school ways of working, not able or willing to modernise - company is running into financial difficulty. - severely understaffed, with overtime treated as a given, never compensated, acknowledged, or appreciated. - VFX teams have stayed overnight in the studio under crushing pressure caused by producers constantly overpromising to clients. - team members are promoted based on time served and not ability/competence (if promoted at all) -There are no work life boundaries: time off is routinely interrupted by non-urgent messages, and failure to respond immediately results in pressure or passive aggressive follow ups - a new financial system implemented by incompetent HR that don't know how to use it - HR and pay issues are handled inconsistently and often poorly. - They renovated the office, then realised they couldn’t afford it. That says it all.

Hello, thanks so much for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear you have had a negative experience at Studio RM. Like a lot of the industry, 2024 and early 2025 was a tough time for Studio RM, and we had to take some difficult decisions during that period - unfortunately that did mean that we had to say goodbye to some members of our team, and temporarily pausing some of our office perks like Breakfast Club. With that behind us, our focus now is on building the Studio RM of the future, and driving positive change. • We're shaping the business across London, New York and Paris to a fully integrated team, that work collaboratively across projects and are able to support each other through busy periods. • Expanding our capabilities across all our Studio locations to meet the changing shape of the industry, with innovation at the core. • Reshaping our internal structures and processes to bring in new ways of working, increase collaboration and agility. • Bringing more clarity and transparency to our team members on what is happening in the Studio, and more forums for discussion. And bringing back our cultural perks like Breakfast Club - to keep the team connected. We genuinely appreciate the feedback. It's been a tough 18 months, but we're excited about the future and continuing to shape the next chapter of Studio RM.

Pros

Studio RM is an ideal place to work if you're looking to build a stand-out portfolio in fashion, music videos, and more. It's a fast-paced post-production company known for its high-quality work, making it a great environment to grow creatively and connect with industry clients. I've been with Studio RM for almost two years, and they've been super supportive in helping me develop my colour grading skills, expand my portfolio, and grow my client base. Plus, they offer weekly breakfasts, lots of drink events, and opportunities to attend award shows, which are great for socialising, getting to know colleagues, and networking.

Cons

I can’t find any cons by far so nothing from me.
