Summit Consulting Response
10yThank you for your thoughtful feedback. In consulting, your only asset walks out of the door every day. To that end, we take culture, feedback and employee morale very seriously and appreciate you taking the time to share your views.
Summit is indeed changing. To continue to be profitable in a very tight Federal market we’ve had to make some tough choices and important changes. These changes benefit our people by ensuring that they have a viable career path. If Summit doesn’t grow, its people don’t grow either.
It was very unusual for Summit staff members to not have client hours targets. The vast majority of professional services firms have client hours targets because it allows leaders to plan resources – both people and budget- thoughtfully. We will accept your advice to be as clear and consistent when explaining why changes are made.
We assess compensation with industry experts annually and know that our total compensation package is competitive in the market. We will continue to keep a close eye on that. People come to Summit for careers, more than just a paycheck.
