Pros
They were about what you'd expect from most AMC's. They paid on average with other decent AMC's, they were friendly enough (Except for maybe a few of their reviewers who...might benefit from a bit more tact.)
Cons
I accepted an appraisal assignment out in the cuts in late 2017. It was a cabin with almost twice the square footage added on without permits...Poorly...Like...for the ceiling there were sheets covering chicken wire. The appraisal didn't make the number. Suntender and the client (Yes, the client, who aren't supposed to be contacting me in the first place.) made a big stink. They gave me a final "chance to fix it." I acquiesced. Shortly thereafter, guess who stopped getting assignments?
AMC's are meant to be a buffer for lender pressure...
I'm certain if questioned, they would say my work was poor... Maybe... But I doubt it. I take pride in my work and I'm no spring chicken.
So take this warning for what it's worth. They're decent enough to work with, but...Appraisers: Heads up.
