Cons
Just completed the Blackstone Supergoop! annual company survey which, based on past conversations with direct managers, will likely never be shared with the broader team. Nearly every question referenced the "ELT" (Blackstone's term for their "chosen" senior leadership team) which highlights the excessive self-importance present within the team. The current leadership style prioritizes personal power, fast, reckless decision making and status above success and the well-being of the team which consistently leaves the broader office feeling insignificant and undervalued. The ELT approach undermines trust, stifles creativity, and has severely impacted team morale due to a constant lack of empathy and poor communication. As a result, what was once a thoughtful, purpose-driven brand has shifted, in 2024, to a top-down, business-centric operation that prioritizes control, cost cutting and short term results over collaboration and vision.
