Pros
there are some good people that you can learn from.
Cons
* pay is really low compared to competitors in the sector for the number of hours. while competition in London pays 12.40 an h, I was paid 11.11 an hour. * there is no work life balance. you are expected to drop everything at any moment to support your account and work over 10 h a day on some occasions. *there is a clause in their contract saying they can fire you at any moment without notice or reason and the moment you have personal issues or health problems, trust me, they will get rid of you. *there is no structured training system in place or an outline of your responsibilities - this means that your daily duties can increase or change and you can be penalised if you fail to do things you have not been told to do. *as an on site support you're expected to perform as an account manager. if you make mistakes or there are any issues, they will not be communicated to address them; instead, they will be used as reasons to fire you without any notice. ON THE SPOT. *if you report someone who is not performing their duties, your line manager will call you and shout at you and tell you everyone in the office thinks you're doing a poor job and you're not good at what you're doing. *as an on site support you'll take the blame for everything. for everyone's mistake. if you take time off and other colleagues do not perform well, their mistakes are your fault, because as an on site support paid with 11 pounds an hour you are expected to the the blame for everything. *if you take time off, as an on site support it's your responsibility to ensure cleanliness is maintained in the office even though you have not been in the office for a week. because as an on site support paid with 11pounds an hour, when you take time time, you're also expected to come from home daily and clean the office. *management is very unorganized. you will have your managers praising you one day, saying you're doing a great job, they do not mention there are any issues that need to be addressed, and a week later they could fire you without any notice, without a performance review conducted to monitor performance over the entire period you worked there. basically your job there is pretty much how the manager feels on the day about you. there is no system in place that monitors where there is a need for improvement, what has improved, what are some factors that might impact performance.
