Research Technician - Research Technician Surpass Employee Review

I have no pros to comment about the company.

I started working at Surpass in August of 2016, and left in March of 2017. This company gives you hand written checks with no paystub, the company has bounced checks, and most stores will not cash them. This is a poorly ran company. The management listens to what they want to listen to and don't seem to care about the opinions of the employees. This company is one of the worst ran company.

I think I had a total of 2 stressful days on the job in 2.5 years. I always found working here to be very relaxed and hardly ever demanding. I always felt like my immediate line managers had my best interests at heart, and once or twice they truely went above and beyond to help me move forward. My colleagues on the teams I worked in were excellent and always willing to help out. I would highly recommend working here to people who are settling/settled down with a family and would benefit from the genuinely superb work/life balance. There are some extremely good people in middle management trying to change things at the company for the better. I wouldn't have any worries or concerns about applying to work here. Colleagues are treated kindly and professionally at all times and never get harassed by management.

Recent mass redundancies betrayed the best thing the company had in it's favour: A sense of safety and job security. It's an open secret that the company pays below market rates for most job roles. I wouldn't recommend working here to anyone hungry for an exciting job, of the kind of life that accompanies it. It remains extremely difficult to be considered for the 'highly skilled' technical roles from within the organisation. The complexity and convoluted nature of the product makes this an incredibly difficult challenge to address.
