Pros
Nothing gets the blood pumping like waking up every morning not knowing if today's the day your deadline moves from "urgent" to "we needed this yesterday." The high pressure and tight deadlines really keep you on your toes who needs a work-life balance anyway? Sleep is overrated. And hey, at least the food is decent. Truly the bare minimum of human decency, and they nailed it. Give them a trophy.
Cons
Ah yes, the engineering process. A beautiful disaster. Someone clearly attended a half-day Agile workshop in 2019, got very inspired, and then proceeded to absolutely butcher it. Priorities change faster than the weather actually no, the weather is more predictable. Sprints? More like "we'll figure it out as we go and call it Agile so it sounds professional." And the pièce de résistance - the layoffs. Nothing says strong leadership and strategic vision like firing a bunch of people, spending two weeks in what I can only assume was a complete existential crisis, and then going "wait, we actually need those roles" and hiring again. Incredible. Truly galaxy-brained decision-making at its finest. Whoever approved that deserves their own LinkedIn post about "lessons in resilience."
