Pros
Work all over the place which can be nice. Get to see lots of cool sights. Work by yourself so you can listen to music/podcasts/phone calls or whatever. Outdoors if you're into that. The work itself isn't bad so long as you can carry a pack with some gear on it (not heavy).
Cons
-No company car. If asked about the possibility of getting company cars or compensation, the manager will yell at you. -Working outdoors can be nice but also can have its downfalls (obviously) -Sometimes you get work 5 minutes from your house, sometimes its an hour and a half away -The office staff in general is a mess. The new manager only sees all the employees as numbers and does not care at all about any of them. He consistently treats employees with disrespect and insults them. The rest of the office staff don't care about the field tech's either. They either ignore phone calls or if they do pick up they are often rude. -The owner underbid everybody else for the contract at Puget Sound Energy so there is no budget for paying employees what they are worth or getting company cars or even equipment that was made in the last 20 years.
