Pros
Strong focus on the customer - almost everybody in customer service at the corporate office in Ohio really values the customers and distributors and goes out of their way, everybody is very friendly and it really feels like a family among associates and most supervisors
Cons
Gradual shift start in early 2010's away from associates being empowered to more top-down decisions, lots of special meetings and committees at the highest levels which can hide why decisions are made, groupthink mentality - it will take 5+ meetings and at least 3 No's to get most things done, disagreeing can sometimes be seen as a cardinal sin - there is a very high value on getting along and it feels like disagreeing is viewed as personal attacks on leadership and management, rampant nepotism
