Don't work for Swarovski! It's super dodgy! - Casual Brand Ambassador Swarovski Employee Review

Pros

- Generous staff discount - average pay - good hours (when you have good managers) - Few good managers and team members (but moved on from the company to better career opportunities)

Cons

The company was good when I first joined (2014). The management had a good structure and things ran smoothly. However, due to management changes starting from the HQ to in-store, it really changed the working environment. There had always been a big focus on KPIs, however, the company grew to only care about money and not the customers nor staff. New managers were being dodgy, providing discounts where it was not valid just to make sales, and when inappropriate behaviour was reported to HR, no action was taken. Chinese customers (resellers) are the only thing some of these managers care about now. Local customers are not acknowledged. The HR team is another problem. I strongly believe the HR team did not have the proper ability to manage HR problems that occurred within the company. Many issues were smoothed over as if it's never happened. If there was one word I could describe the company, it would be "DODGY". There are only very few people left within the company that are good because Swarovski lacks the ability to hold on to its valuable assets. The quality of products have not improved for years and it was almost embarrassing to witness how some of the items were. zero career opportunities

Pros

The management team is refined and very accommodating. I loved my time here. I had so many opportunities to learn and grow through my experiences, and working with the team was amazing. Holiday seasons were stressful but never unfun. The management here really makes you feel cared for. Love the discount on most jewelry as well.

Cons

Scheduling could be volatile during holiday seasons, but that's to be expected for a front-line sales position.

Pros

great introduction into luxury retail, great sales training, coworkers are very friendly, management really cares about you and is very nice but can get rude when stressed. generally a nice place to work, clean, very easy job overall, you make team bonuses which raise hourly to as much as 22 and hour

Cons

micromanaging from corporate, disorganized management, moderate turnover, things get stressful but also fun during busy seasons
