Pros
This is a firm that is built around the idea that information matters. They built an entire business around data analytics that drives meaningful insights for clients. Refreshingly, this isn't just marketing rhetoric! My colleagues here draw out nuanced analytical conclusions that not only highlights an immediate impact for the client, but positions us to advise on secondary and tertiary 'over the horizon' effects that the client may not be cognizant of. The work is meaningful and access to management is direct. Our flat hierarchy facilitates frank ideation; everyone's thoughts are welcomed in company strategy sessions. My thoughts have mattered to the leadership and to our clientele. There's true sense of ownership over the products, process and technologies that we build. While the pace of work is fast, the executive team goes the extra mile to ensure that resources are available to achieve our goals.
Cons
The traffic and commuting patterns of Washington D.C. can be really trying at times. Track maintenance on the Metro can be a source of consternation. We can however, if the type of engagement permits, work remotely.
