The staff-My colleagues were fantastic and without them I would have left a long time ago. Birthday leave-A nice addition to annual leave Extra days leave this summer Exposure to healthcare industry.
Cons
What once felt like a close group of friends/family at the workplace has been reduced to a high-stress, cut throat environment. Micro-management has become more prevalent making it harder to complete important tasks in fear of getting chased up on minor issues. Redundancies-It seems every week there’s another lot of redundancies of teams that actually make a difference. These already unstaffed teams are being cut down to barebones so it’s hard to take leave and staff are having to work overtime on a regular basis. Staff are terrified. Lack of training/progression- Due to high staff turnover and barebones teams, loyal staff are having to train new employees constantly, whilst their own progression is neglected. Pay does not reflect this extra responsibility. Appraisals-Now a pointless formality. No matter how well you perform, you won’t be rewarded.
