Pros
I loved the location, my colleagues, and the desire of the company to do something different in market research. THREE has invested in a creative team that helps provide deliverables that clients love. Management pushes employees to do better and take risks.
Cons
Management promotes autonomy but often barges in to make sweeping changes, often for the worse and followed by blame when changes don't pan out. The only strategy/goal the company has is "to be the best research company in the world", which sounds fun but is backed by no solid plan for success. The lack of strategy is proven in hemorrhaging business and incredibly high employee turnover. Management is nothing short of maniacal, shifting at a whim from encouraging and hands-off to overbearing and dictatorial, often making personal attacks and threats. In discussions around motivation, the CEO has stated that the only motivation employees need is the desire to not be fired. The office environment can be incredibly tense and/or awkward due to management's unprofessional behavior and relationships. There is a clear divide between the two offices (NY and NC), although that is likely the root of higher satisfaction in the NC office.
