Pros
The company pays for your licensing and continuing education. They want you to learn as much as you can about insurance. The coworkers are great. It's a team environment and people are always willing to help if you're behind or need another set of eyes on a project. The management has set procedures and processes in place. With every company, there is always room for improvement. But because TIS has been around for so long, their procedures work and are followed. The company constantly has group activities and encourages coworkers to mingle and get to know one another. For such a large company, it still has that nice family-business feel to it. There is always room for growth. TIS allows opportunity in all departments for anyone. So you can make the switch from Personal to Commercial to Construction if you're the right applicant for the job.
Cons
It would be great if they offered more flexibility to work from home.. but with this industry and HIPAA regulations, TIS doesn't want to risk any secure information they have on clients. Would more pay be great? Absolutely. In any job, you will want more pay. TIS does offer yearly bonuses to employees based on the company's profits. Yearly reviews also help raise pay. If you work hard here, you will be rewarded for it.
