Pros

Good opportunity to get retail experience and customer service. Being bilingual, being able to work 10-12 hour shifts and being able to train helped me get promoted in just a month of working.

Cons

Salaries are not consistent. The starting salary for the same exact job was $12 then for the following new employees it went up to $13. Our pay was never raised to the new minimum wage and management would brush off all concerns and complaints. Management would sometimes provide lunch to distract employees for a bit. There are employees who have worked for 3 years more than the new employees and they are still under the new minimum wage set.

Pros

Good pay and flexible hours

Cons

The workplace culture felt highly driven by informalities, which often made it difficult to resolve issues professionally. Management responses to workplace concerns often felt inconsistent, and similar incidents appeared to be handled differently depending on the individuals involved. Employee morale appeared low, and turnover seemed higher than expected during my time there. Lack of support during peak periods and backroom inefficiencies. The work environment felt unsustainable due to unresolved management issues, communication breakdowns, and inconsistent handling of workplace conflicts.
