Pros

1. Great exposure towards expensive liquors and luxury cars 2. Office building has a signage (TOGA), when you pass by the road can see it and you feel proud.

Cons

Due to recent MCO, the group revenue dropped like mad and for the sake of them buying expensive lamboghinis and porche during this period of time, senior management had to cut off our salary 20% Horrible senior management team, along with the most horrible CEO (Mr. Michael Toh) that over promise and does not keep his words. Why are they horrible? 1. About 10 of senior management (they call it executive committee), are all just stupid people that follow blindly with the CEO Mr Michael Toh's ridiculous plan change. The "senior management" never cares about us, our mental health, our career growth, no whatsoever. You guys are just Michael Toh's dogs. I can't imagine how much he paid you guys to be his dog, but i guess i never got that chance to experience it. 2. There is no direction in the stupid app call Yippi (TOGL product), and the senior management put the blame on the rest of us. They don't know how to deal with public market but still insist on using their own stupid ideas. 3. Mr Michael Toh, the CEO of TOGL is the worst kind of boss. He is a heavy drinker, that i suspect he already cannot think properly due to his heavy alcohol consumption (daily basis). He doesn't listen to our feedbacks, doesn't care about how much resources he has, and want to achieve crazy results with it. His requirement usually goes like this: Imagine asking a chef to do fried rice but want to add abalone and seafood, but never give you budget to buy abalone and seafood. So, the chef has to fork out his own money to buy those items. 4. Trust outsiders more than internal staffs. Nuff said. Had an incident where they paid RM180K to a production vendor that should help make a video but in the end internal staff did 50% of the job but getting nothing at all.

Pros

Encourages independence and self-reliance, as employees are often required to manage tasks on their own.

Cons

In my experience, the work environment lacked psychological safety. I experienced exclusion and isolation, and there were limited opportunities to be involved in meaningful or impactful roles. Decision-making was highly centralized, with an autocratic management style that did not encourage open communication or feedback. Overtime was frequent and often uncompensated. Tasks outside of my original job scope were regularly assigned without proper discussion or alignment. There was limited teamwork, and many tasks were repetitive without clear objectives or measurable outcomes, which felt demotivating over time. Job responsibilities were unclear, with frequent changes in expectations. Support and recognition were minimal, and mistakes were often highlighted without constructive guidance, which affected morale and motivation.

Pros

I’ve been working at TOGL for several years. At first, I found it hard to adapt—the tech stack kept changing, and requirements were constantly evolving. But over time, I realized that I was actually growing. I was often asked to explore new technologies and build POCs (Proof of Concepts). Initially, I felt it was unreasonable and overwhelming. But looking back, those experiences pushed me out of my comfort zone. I gained exposure to modern tools and frameworks that many other developers in typical software houses might not get to touch. Compared to other companies where developers often get stuck building CRM or accounting software repeatedly, TOGL offers more variety and challenge. It’s a good place if you enjoy experimenting and being hands-on with different tech.

Cons

TOGL is a place that pushes you to grow. It may feel overwhelming at first, but if you’re a developer who enjoys learning, experimenting, and staying updated with new technologies, this is a rewarding environment. Just be prepared to put in the effort—there’s no room for complacency here.
