Pros

Amazing people below the leadership level.

Cons

It is unfortunate what TOMS has become. It went from a young, inclusive and progressive company to one that is led by middle-aged, closed minded and out-of-touch men. In the last year all of the women at the VP and above level were either let go or quit. The environment now is unbearable, driven by men with very large egos.

Pros

- Still committed to sustainability with its B Corp status. - Committed to donating to various good causes despite declining sales. - Good maternity/paternity leave. - 401k and Good Dental Insurance. - Office is pet friendly. - People that work there are nice and pleasant to work with.

Cons

- 5 different CEOs in the last 7 years. - 6 layoffs in the last 8 years (staff has been cut by more than half). - Giving model has been diluted so that company profits are the main goal. - Rolled back key employee benefits like half-day Fridays and now mandates RTO for their employees even though leadership benefits from WFH. - Quietly rolled back DEI by cutting off the funding and laying off the people who supported it (lip service at this point). - Tech leaders in the company signal that they want to employ AI to eventually replace people. - Company founded on revolutionizing the business world through its philanthropy is now playing it safe; don't want to alienate their MAGA customers. - It's one thing if these things actually brought in more money for the company, but all it's caused is more headaches, low morale, and people no longer believing in the company mission. - Some departments have leaders that care about the mental health and well-being of their people. Meanwhile, other teams are getting their resources taken away and having work being dumped on them with no buy-in, pre-planning, or notice. It seems like with every "re-org" leadership becomes more autocratic.
