Pros

The first three weeks were training and the workload was usually manageable. That's it.

Cons

Overall, a terrible job—both inside and out. First of all, our supervisor during the training period clearly hated her job. She showed up on time each day, gave us a quick greeting, and then immediately sent us on our way. She didn’t teach us anything—the training quizzes were all conducted by someone else. One staff member who regularly handled our verbal quizzes often asked inappropriate personal questions that had nothing to do with the job. I'm not sure if this behavior reflected the company culture or was just specific to certain individuals. Second, just a few days after starting, my cohort and I were abruptly invited to a meeting where the APAC director announced that we were at risk of being laid off, pending the company’s decision. The very next day, one of our coworkers was let go without any explanation. No one followed up with us, clarified the situation, or offered any support. Third, once training ended, the real grind began. Our night shift schedule was completely overhauled without prior notice. The work itself was not only tedious but also mentally exhausting—I had to sit in front of a computer for nearly nine hours straight. While we technically had breaks, they were short and infrequent. I was even told by my team leader that I wasn’t allowed to leave my seat or use the bathroom outside of the designated break times. The company does have a “mental health specialist,” who was promoted to that role after spending years in our position. Her main method of support? Posting weekly “encouraging messages” in our WeChat group. Seriously. In short: this job is only good if you're truly desperate for cash. If you have any other option, don't take this one.

Pros

The hiring process was quick and efficient. During onboarding for my initial position, the equipment arrived on time and setup was straightforward. As a seasonal Medicare Sales Agent working through a third-party vendor, I appreciated the opportunity to gain industry experience. While my role was limited due to the seasonal nature of the position, it strengthened my customer service, sales, and communication skills. It increased my interest in pursuing a long-term career in healthcare and insurance.

Cons

Transitioning to a new role within the company was extremely frustrating. After my seasonal assignment ended, I spent approximately five months attempting to move into another campaign. I accepted a position in December and attended multiple technical checks, but the equipment issues were never resolved. Rather than providing updated equipment, repeated attempts were made to use older equipment that was not functioning properly. Because I was still tied to the pending position, I was unable to apply for other opportunities within the company until the role was officially closed and the equipment returned. After several technical checks went unresolved, I ultimately decided to stop pursuing additional roles with the company.
