Pros
The pay and benefits are decent than most for an entry level position. You can meet some really nice people and gain a really close bond with some of your coworkers.
Cons
Just about everything else, if you like to pride yourself on professionalism, then look elsewhere cause there is none here. At ohare, we are always short staffed and those that do work, go home tired and cranky everyday, others laze the day away pretending to work. The promotion process is a total joke consisting of questions totally irrelevant to your experiences, ensuring that the next individual whose lead you will have to follow, is a total inept BSer. Recurrent testing is necessary to maintain your job, and as you watch good workers fail and forced into resignation, you begin to realise how expendable you are. Passengers are often aggressively opinionated about you and TSA in general, everything from smart mouthed sarcastic comments, to downright insulting comments on your personal character, you MUST have a thick skin to work here, or you will be driven to insanity!
